  2. Thank you for your interest in the 'Crash Test Dummies' Desktop Theme. 
  3. This software (Freeware) is to be installed onto 'Microsoft Plus' for 
  4. 'Windows 95'.
  5.  
  6. To properly install the 'Crash Test Dummies' Theme, it is advisable 
  7. to follow the procedure below:
  8.  
  9. 1) Unzip (already done!)
  10.  
  11. 2) Move all the files into a subdirectory of your 'Themes' directory.
  12.  
  13. 3) Click 'Start' / 'Settings' / 'Control Panel'
  14.  
  15. 4) Open 'Desktop Themes'
  16.  
  17. 5) Locate the window entitled "Theme:" (Top Left) and click the down 
  18.    arrow.
  19.  
  20. 6) If 'Crash Test Dummies' is on that list, click it.  If not, scroll 
  21.    down to the choice "other..." and click that.  Locate the directory 
  22.    that you stored all the files in and click that.  'Crash Test 
  23.    Dummies' should be there.
  24.  
  25. 7) Click 'Apply'
  26.  
  27. 8) Click 'OK'

  30. *The 'Crash Test Dummies' Desktop Theme should now be successfully 
  31.  installed.

  34. Are your icons in the way?
  35.  
  36. To avoid desktop clashing:
  37.  
  38. 1) Right click the 'Crash Test Dummies' backdrop.  A menu should appear
  39.  
  40. 2) Select 'Arrange Icons'
  41.  
  42. 3) Deselect (turn off) Auto Arrange
  43.  
  44. 4) Click and Drag your icons anywhere comfortable
  45.

  47. Are you running 800X600 or 1024X768 Desktop Resolution?

  49. *You could probably still find the 'Crash Test Dummies' backdrop 
  50.  designed specifically for these settings on:

  53. To install these backdrops, you have to:
  54.  
  55. 1) Click on 'Start' / 'Settings' / 'Control Panel'
  56.  
  57. 2) Click and open 'Display'
  58.  
  59. 3) Locate the new Backdrop (file name) in the 'Wallpaper' menu
  60.    (If it isn't there, Click 'Browse' and locate it)
  61.  
  62. 4) Confirm that the 'Display' choice is set to 'Center' (not 'Tile')
  63.  
  64. 5) Click 'Apply' / "Ok"
